Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal data Yellow Method Oy collects through this website, why, and what you can do about it. It covers the website only. The Yellow Method platform at app.yellowmethod.ai is a separate service with its own agreement and its own Privacy Notice.

Who is responsible

Yellow Method Oy (“Yellow Method”, “we”; business ID 3210654-7, Aatelitie 8, 01520 Vantaa, Finland) is the controller of the personal data described here. You can reach us at privacy@yellowmethod.ai with any question about this policy or about data we hold.

What we collect

Analytics. We use PostHog to understand how the site is used: which pages are viewed, what is clicked, which site a visitor came from, the browser, device and screen size, how fast pages load, and any errors. PostHog receives your IP address with each page view and derives an approximate location (country and city) from it. Analytics stores nothing on your device, so each page view stands on its own and is not linked to your other page views or visits. We do not record sessions or show surveys on this site. The data is processed on PostHog’s European infrastructure and is not used to build advertising profiles. We do not run advertising pixels, Google Analytics or tag managers.

Messages you send us. If you email us or use a form on this site, we receive what you write: your name, your email address, your organization, and whatever else you choose to include. We use it to answer you and, if it becomes a customer relationship, to run that relationship.

Requests to the site. Our hosting receives the usual technical details of each request — IP address, time, path, user agent — in order to deliver the page. We do not keep access logs of these requests. The contact form keeps a log of its own errors, which never contains your message.

Why we may use it, lawfully

We rely on our legitimate interest in running and improving a website and in responding to people who contact us, and on performance of a contract where you are a customer or becoming one. Our analytics stores nothing on your device and does not follow you from page to page, and we rely on our legitimate interest for it.

Who else sees it

We use service providers who process data on our behalf and only on our instructions:

• Amazon Web Services — hosting and passing contact form messages on to our email, in the EU, and content delivery from the location nearest to you.
• PostHog — product analytics, on its EU instance.
• Google Workspace — our email, so anything you send us is stored there.

Where a provider processes data outside the EU, the transfer is covered by the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.

We do not sell personal data and we do not share it for anyone else’s marketing.

How long we keep it

Correspondence is kept for as long as the conversation or the customer relationship is live, and for a reasonable period afterwards. Analytics events are kept in PostHog for trend analysis. The contact form’s error log is kept for 30 days.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you may ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it or erase it, object to or restrict how we use it, and ask for it in a portable form. Write to privacy@yellowmethod.ai and we will answer within one month. If you believe we have handled your data wrongly, you can complain to the Finnish Data Protection Ombudsman (tietosuoja.fi).

Cookies and similar technologies

The site sets no cookies and stores nothing on your device: not for analytics, advertising or tracking you across other websites. Analytics sends its data to PostHog’s EU servers; you can block those requests in your browser and the site works without them.

Changes

If this policy changes materially we will update the date above and, where the change matters to you, say so on the site.
